After a long period of rest and recovery following burnout, I am delighted to announce that Le Jardin des Secrets is reopening its doors FROM 15TH FEBRUARY, in a gentler, lighter way... but with the same heartfelt dedication as ever.

The rooms:

Three rooms will be available again:

at weekends (Friday and Saturday)

→ stay of at least two nights
during the school holidays

The welcome, atmosphere and rooms remain unchanged, faithful to the spirit of Le Jardin des Secrets and my desire to welcome you with simplicity, authenticity and kindness.

Breakfasts & rates:

Breakfasts will be lighter, which explains why prices have been reduced compared to previous years.
I have now decided to offer a welcome that is more in tune with my energy levels, while maintaining the quality and care provided during your stay.

Weekday stays:

It is possible to stay during the week, but only upon request and subject to my availability, which varies due to my training commitments.

During the week, there is no breakfast.
The kitchen is available for use, and everyone is free to organise themselves as they wish.
Rates are adjusted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the length of stay (discounted rates).

A brief interlude before a new chapter:

The house is currently for sale (preliminary agreement signed).
Visits to the Jardin des Secrets will continue until the end of summer, probably until the end of September.

For those who wish to return one last time, or simply (re)discover the place in a more refined and gentler version, it will be with great pleasure that I welcome you.

Thank you for your loyalty, understanding and presence over the years.
Le Jardin des Secrets continues, in a different way... but always with the same spirit.

Secrets and gardens

Many stories have a tale to be told: Gardens are a place of secrets. They think and whisper without causing any disturbance in their surroundings.

Maybe it is the gold buried deep beneath, down there, near the old coach house…
Maybe. The secrets are concealed under the trees, on a bench in a daydream, a kiss, a conversation, leaving memories and poetry in the air of the branches.
Memories have the distinction of never being linked to the places where the gardens are invisible fortresses. They sometimes offer this silent inspiration for some worms, a sculpture, a painting, some contemplation.

The secrets have their gardens, as not everything can be made, created, or done anywhere. Space separates places by its mind. Some spaces, like some lights, have their source of genius. The spirit of the place makes you feel. It invites. It breathes. It wraps and soothes. It makes you smile with ease and charges the relation of time. Space expands, but the stars approach.

We stroll in the gardens, we rest ourselves, we reconnect with the elements, we discuss and we reflect. The universe is so vast, yet keeps such a low profile, and for that, we plant, trim and gather the mysteries of life. Each season transforms the garden and passes the secrets onto the next.

"Le Jardin des Secrets" is a temple of peace where you are happy to return as another person.

Practical information

Where

By car: Easy to get to, Le Jardin des Secrets is near Pont de Jambes and Parc de la plante, near the historical centre of Namur and its restaurants, shops and museums.

By foot: The house is only 20 minutes walking distance to the city centre and 2.5 km from the Jambes Train Station, Namur citadel and the ancient Saint-Aubin cathedral. .
Leave the house and 550 metre later, you are already at the banks of the Meuse river.
How to get here:
Only 1 hour from Bruxelles, 1.5 hours from Luxembourg, 45 min from Charleroi, 50 min from Liege and 2.20 hours from Utrecht.

To get there: From Grognon in the Namur city centre, take the direction of Dinant, pass the Grand Casino de Namur on your right and follow the same road for another 1.2 km (0.75 miles) and you will see your destination on your left.

Park anywhere on the right hand side and ring the bell so that I can come and open the entrance.
Please take care and watch out for animals and children that may be present in the grounds.

Opening times

From now on, Le jardin des secrets and its guest rooms with breakfasts are open:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings.

Outside these times please send me your special requests.

If you would like to book for a longer stay, please let us know the desired dates and the number of people or rooms required.

For your events and rental of the house or meeting room, please let us know your requirements and dates.

No dogs allowed

Unfortunately, your pets will not be able to accompany you to the Garden of Secrets, for several reasons:

1. There are already 3 animals here, one of which has become very dominant in recent months and could be aggressive towards one of his fellow creatures.

2. Some customers are allergic, it is thereforedits in room for this reason. Mes animaux ne pouvant monter dans les étages.

3. The fact that they can bark when guests come and go.

4. The disrespect of certain customers who have not respected certain essential rules.

Née en Normandie en 1959, Isabelle étudie aux Beaux Arts de Bourges et à Paris en atelier avant de se tourner vers le stylisme et le design à Tournai en Belgique. Après de nombreuses années de collaboration avec des architectes et des designers, elle se consacre pleinement à sa peinture, sur les traces de ses deux maîtres peintres et sculpteurs : son père et André Poirson.
